Cortez M. Johnson, is a native of the South Bay Area. He attended Serra High School & Bishop Montgomery High School graduated in 1992. Thereafter, he attended California State University Northridge obtaining a B.S. Degree in Health Science graduated in 1997. Years later he obtained a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Phoenix graduated in 2003.

 

During his college years, he began his Customer Service & Sales Profession at Airtouch/Verizon Wireless as a Retail Sales Representative in Woodland Hills. Thereafter, he was promoted to outside Business Sales based in LaDera Heights where he experienced & embraced the art of entrepreneurship.  

 

In 2002, he obtained his Real Estate License to become a Realtor. In 2003, he obtained his Real Estate Broker License. His speciality is financing 1 to 4 units in California. He is a Managing Partner with ‘LA Paz Mortgage, INC’ which is a mortgage broker & mortgage banker based in Laguna Niguel. LA Paz Mortgage, Inc has approx 15+ sources for lending.

Cortez’s Mortgage Banking practice is driven by two decades of experience. Based on trust, quality of service, referrals & client satisfaction with over 800+ financing transactions closed.

 

Last but not least, in addition to his Real Estate career he is also Faculty College Professor at West Los Angeles College & Los Angeles Valley College….Teaching, Training & Mentoring students in Real Estate, Entrepreneurship & Business courses approved by LACCD.
